Sorry for the late notice but we just found out that today’s Let's Move! Communities on the Move Video Challenge event is being live-streamed at www.whitehouse.gov/live. The event has started and runs until 3:30.

Message from the Judges
USDA and the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research share a mutual concern about the health and well-being of our kids as we look to confront the challenge of childhood obesity. The Let's Move Faith and Communities video challenge allowed USDA to energize and connect with new audiences to bring new awareness to childhood obesity to help raise a healthier generation of kids.
The video challenge, however, was not intended to focus on any individual condition causing obesity, as Let's Move! is a comprehensive initiative involving physical activity and improving access to healthy food, among other strategies. The "Take One SMALL Step"…

And the winners are...
This past February marked the launch of the Let's Move! Communities on the Move Video Challenge, which invited faith-based and community leaders to share their stories about their efforts to promote wellness and solve the problem of childhood obesity in their communities.
Communities across the country responded enthusiastically to the challenge, submitting 60 videos that represented a broad range of programs, strategies, and age groups — from toddlers to teenagers — with submissions from 21 states. Congregations and organizations shared inspiring work to promote healthy eating, physical activity, and access to healthy, affordable food for children.

During her speech marking the second anniversary of Let's Move! First Lady Michelle Obama announced the launch of the Let's Move Faith and Communities Communities on the Move Video Challenge and invited the winners to meet her at the White House later this year.
